My life, as screwed up as it might be

I just thought I'd let all you avid readers know that I'm still alive.
I've not been in much of a writing mood lately, and if you couple that with the fact that there has been nothing remotely interesting going on in my life lately, it should explain my lack of writing.

Oh, sure... I'm going out more these days. But nothing worth writing about ever happens. Hopefully things will pick up soon, even I'm getting bored.

And just to keep folks informed... I'm sick again. A nasty cold is running through the office like... well, like a nasty cold. I'm not too bad yet, and I'm hoping it doesn't balloon up before Thanksgiving. I have no appetite, and it would suck to be this way for a feastday.

That's all from me for now, hope you all have a great Thanksgiving (except for you non-Americans... enjoy working on Thursday!)

I like my job. But every once in a while, I wish I could just walk out. Like yesterday...
I almost called in sick to hand out with a friend from out of town. But he had to work, so I went in. And, I guess it was a good thing because everyone else called in sick!!!
We received more new orders yesterday than we had in three weeks (seriously), and there was a huge deadline. ugh
But still I prevailed. I managed to get everything done with fifteen minutes to spare. The manager asked how the day went, what with being all alone all day, and I told her I was going to go home, drink lots of whiskey and cry myself to sleep.
So today, boy oh boy, were we backed up. Non-stop work, and we're still not caught up, just rushing to meet all the deadlines that are coming up.
So very tired, but still hoping overtime will be allowed for at least a few days to catch up.

On the plus side, I've actually got a few spare dollars in my bank account. I'm hoping that after I get my income tax refund I'll be able to pay off two more credit cards (getting the car was a huge hinderance, as I should have had those two cards paid off last month). That would just leave one credit card to pay off, which is the BIG one. But when I'm down to just that, I start saving up for a house.
I probably won't get those two paid off, but definately one will be, with at least $500 to go on the other, which will bring it below $1000. Oh, if only that were my only bill, it would be easy.
At least those two cards will be done with one year after moving into my parents house.
It's kinda sad, I look forward to getting my bills. I must be some kind of freak.
