The MTA finally returned my call about my lost 30 day Metrocard this afternoon. That’s three days after I called, but they did eventually call back. And they noted that I had called on Sunday and what time, so I suspect they would actually factor that in when calculating the credit.

I use a “30-Day Unlimited Ride” MetroCard to pay for my transit around this fine city. I even get a tax break on it through a program at work. And in the five years I’ve been doing it, I’ve only lost one, and that was near the end of the month.

One great thing about Metrocards versus tokens is that the MTA can raise fares really easily. Which is a great thing if you’re the MTA. Not so great for me, though. Especially since they are now raising the price reducing the current discount of the monthly and weekly cards:
