Watching a large network copy on a Windows XP workstation. Estimated time remaining ranges from a low of 60 seconds to 43 minutes. Keep in mind this is near the end of the copy, so there’s lots of data to make the estimate from.This to me points out the difference, in general, between the Mac and Windows. On the Mac, the goal is to do things the right way, on Windows the goal is to do things just good enough.
