Under criticism from lawmakers of both parties for the dismissals of federal prosecutors, Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales insisted Tuesday that he would not resign but said, “I acknowledge that mistakes were made here.”

Nothing says “weasel” like using the passive voice.

My tagline was inspired by a long list of unaccountable Washington weasels, so I suspect Mr. Gonzales is just following in the footsteps of his peers instead of taking inspiration from here. Though, you never know. Maybe he found my site by googling for “hairy ass” (Do not click that Google image link unless you are very, very brave. And yes, that’s one of my #1 incoming links.).
