Mistakes were made

New York City meets Munich

And no dark glasses either

One genius state senator from Brooklyn Carl Kruger wants to make listening to music through headphones while you cross the street illegal. There could be a fine of $100 if you wear your iPod (and presumably any other audio device), while you cross the street.

“If you want to listen to your iPod, sit down and listen to it,” Kruger declared. “You want to walk in the park, enjoy it. You want to jog around a jogging path, all the more power to you, but you should not be crossing streets and endangering yourself and the lives of others.”

I guess there’s been a rash of people wearing iPods getting killed while crossing the street and then having the headphone-wearing body fly along and kill someone else. I had no idea I was putting the “lives of others” at risk when I cross the street with my iPod on. I feel like such a terrorist now.

I think Carl should just make stupidity illegal and fine people $100 when they do something stupid, but he’d probably go broke.

What a frigtard.
