Doing my part

August 1st, 2006 · No Comments · Weather

When I see a 102 degree temperature in nearby Jersey City, I’m not thinking “weather”, but “fever”. Perhaps the northeast needs some Tylenol, or maybe a nice alcohol rub.

During this time, my company is doing what it can to reduce energy usage. All blinds are lowered to save on air conditioning, and non-essential computers must be turned off after hours. I’m helping out by typing less and moving the mouse only when necessary. I just keep asking myself, “Is this click really necessary?” So if there’s a blackout, don’t look at me.
