Well, what do you know, it still works after all.

Apologies for the long hiatus. I thought it would be a short break to recover from some burnout, but other events loomed large and here we are 15 months later. Whoopsie.

To everyone who said I should post an “I’m alive and ok” post (and I mean all three of you), you were right. But everytime I thought about it, I was torn between trying to be open about what I was going through and not wanting to address it at all. Of course, I could have just put up a token something, but I’m a perfectionist moron.

You’ll be pleased to know that I worked hard on a full redesign of the site, with a whole new look, and even using WordPress. I dinked and tinkered with the design for many hours. Then I realized, while comparing how different templates look on different browsers, that I sort of hate web design, and that web design is a tedious pain in the ass that I’m not really all that great at. I’m a writer, first and foremost. If I waited until I was happy with the redesign before posting again it would just mean waiting even longer, and no one ever came here because of how my page looks. Not even the comment spammers. So for now, I’ll stick with Blogger because it is Good Enough For Now, (a very important design criteria).

I’m also changing my own personal blogging expectations. I will post when I feel like it and I have something I want to say. Sometimes that might be daily, sometimes not. So as of this post, no more backdating. But, don’t be surprised if things are a wee bit sporadic, but I do think checking in at least once every 30 days is a good policy to have, or so my probation officer tells me.

Welcome back, and thanks for being patient.
