Cruel and unusual

We gave a trial run to Leo’s Halloween costume the other night.

Yeah, I know, I know. We are dressing up the dog for Halloween. I too wonder what has happened to me.

It’s wrong in so many ways, but honestly, it’s just too funny to pass up. And to his credit, Leo was patient and accepting. But I don’t think he enjoyed it much. At least we didn’t go out and buy the costume for him, or even make one. It’s actually a repurposed unused costume for a person. Or at least that’s how I’m rationalizing it.

If we do end up putting it on him on Halloween, he’ll only have to wear it for a few minutes for some more pictures, and maybe a quick trip to the building lobby for a gleeful walk of shame. Maybe. After seeing the face he made for the trial run, I might not have the heart to do it to him again.

No pictures until Halloween though. So you’ll have to wait to see the indignity heaped upon our poor dog.
