Our company, like many others, participates in the “Toys for Tots” program. Each floor has an area decorated with a tree and a menorah, and people drop off unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. On Tuesday they’ll be collected to be distributed to needy kids. All in all, a rather efficient form of charity.

My only beef is the abundance of talking Elmo dolls on our floor. You see, I see fairly close to where people drop off the toys. Currently, there are five different talking Elmos there:

  • Hokey Pokey Elmo
  • Chicken Dance Elmo
  • Limbo Elmo
  • Spanish Elmo
  • Baby Elmo

Now these little red fellas are in new and in their boxes, but due to clever packaging, you may “try out” Elmo. And that’s what people have been doing. All day.

I am personally ready for “Murder Me Elmo.”

Though, I have no doubt what toy to get for any children whose parents I hate.
