New York City meets Munich

Ho ho oh no

Tis the season for high alcohol and caloric consumption. I think I better add a few pairs of pants to my Amazon wishlist.

Though they left last Sunday, the visit of Conny View definition in a new window’s parents kicked off our holiday season. We ate out every night, and frequently every non-working morning as well, with the exception of one night, which involved take-out. We came close to the line of “too much of good thing.” But no buttons have burst yet.

Now this week Conny’s new boss and her husband took us out to a fine meal. That was the night after my group at work went out for holiday drinks. Now on Friday is the official company holiday party at Avalon. Come January I think I fast to atone for all this celebrating.

Sadly, I can’t bring my wife with me to the company party to check out the recently opened Avalon. We were there when it was the Limelight, but for a rather different occasion, the Black and Blue Ball, a major fetish event. Needless to say, my attire tonight is somewhat different. I am curious to see all the changes they made to that great space. I’m brining my camera in the hopes that a well-timed shot will lead to greater job security, or even a raise.
