Sharing the collar

There’s subtle ways getting a dog has impact my life. One unintended consequence is less kink. Or rather more difficult kink.

Do not be frightened. The dog is not involved in our kink. Let’s just not go there. What has happened is ConnyWho is Conny? and I have lost half our SMWhat is SM? play space. While there’s quite a bit we can do in the bedroom, there’s just more space in the living room. But the dog gets that space now. And no one wants to be hog-tied face down on a carpet where the puppy has had an accident. That’s not humiliation, that’s just nasty.

(All three of his carpet accidents get thoroughly cleaned up, but there’s still that smell of pet-stain cleaner in the rug. We will get the carpet cleaned professionally once Leo is fully housebroken, and we’re almost there.)

And it’s not just all out play that’s a problem. When Conny View definition in a new window has me collaredWhat collar? for awhile, there’s little things, like not getting to sit on the furniture without permission. Sort of like a dog. Except now we have a real dog, and he’s a lot cuter than me. I just can’t compete with that.

In spite of these adjustments, though, I wouldn’t trade the puppy for the world. And now we have an excuse to go out and play more, something I don’t mind in the least.
