Score another one for the Dutch

March 28th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

After an initial stumble, once again the Dutch get it right. A judge there realized that even though Kazaa, the peer to peer file sharing network, can be used for copyright infringement, it both has non-infringing valid uses and the company making it can’t be held accountable for how users use it.

They way things are going, maybe it’s my own best interest to start learning Dutch.

Or maybe I should encourage all the Dutch people I know to polish up on their English in anticipation of my arrival. That’ll work better, I think. Plus most of them speak more English than I speak Dutch. Only fair.
