Weak End

Saturdays are for sleeping, says me. In spite of intentions to be industrious and fit, rest comes first. Now I’m all the better for it.

The unpleasant snow and bitter wind deterred >Conny and me from some of our more ambitious errands. This meant no cosmopolitans can be served, since we still lack the proper glasses. Probably not a bad thing, since the rather icky cosmo Conny View definition in a new window got served at Steelow’s Funhouse, in a plastic cup with ice cubes no less, left a rather bad taste in her mouth, and a foul echo in her gut. Amazing what one strong bad drink can do. So it’s a cosmo free zone while she recovers. (The bad cosmo is no reflection upon the fine party that is Steelow’s Funhouse. We knew it was a gamble when we ordered it. Best to stick to the basics at a bar like that. I also want to make sure Steelow doesn’t kick my ass lets me in next time.)

>M.J.D. and Oliver braved the elements to join us for dinner. He cooked. I made everyone feel awkward with the new DV camcorder for a few minutes. Except for MJD, because he’s as big a ham as I am. We ate. I cleaned. And we avoided the snow.

So tomorrow, no excuses. That’s the plan.
