New York City meets Munich

Doin’ the Santa Thang

Christmas shopping isn’t so bad, really. It’s all a matter of the proper frame of mind. A few still drinks don’t hurt either.

I’d love to share my tales of shopping brilliance, but I fear some of the recipients of these carefully selected gifts may be lurking around. So, I dare not speak of my amazing bartering, lest I give my good lady too many hints.

Well, there’s one story that’s just too good, so I trust her to avert her eyes. But I saw this great vacuum cleaner, and I know how much she loves to vacuum. And I managed to wheel and deal the guy down to less than half price! And I even got him to throw in some free vacuum bags. What a deal! Of course, it’s too big to bring to Munich, so I’ll give it to >Conny when she comes back to New York. She has more fun vacuuming my apartment anyway, and my vacuum is no great shakes. I’m sure she’ll like using her own, new vacuum cleaner when she’s here.

I can’t wait to see her face!
