Welcome to Marryland

Take a shiny new silver Volkswagon Beetle, add two days of unbelievably delicious weather, stir in an elegant, intimate wedding attended by a great group of people, top it off with a gluttonous bout of last minute Sunday shopping at a shamefully large mall in Annapolis, and you’ve got an awful lot of fun for just two days.

The only thing that could have made the weekend more perfect would have been a few more days. Oh, and maybe a bit less traffic on the return trip.

Seeing as the bride and groom are members of my >Clan Lord clan, the Rat Bastards, I thought it would have been appropriate to yell our clan cheer “Fun turns to tragedy!” after the exchange of vows, but >Conny seemed to think otherwise.

Now I’m just waiting for all the great people I met at the wedding to send me pictures of the wild melee beautiful ceremony that took place. I’ll be sure to add my commentary to any photographic evidence of the proceedings I get access to, just to be sure the truth gets out there.

Congratulations to Kirk and Liz on your marriage, and may you have a lifetime of happiness together.

And thanks for not punching me for being late. Though, really, I have to blame the overly optimistic travel time estimate in the information bundle I got with the wedding invitation. I suspect Kirk came up with those times, because I’ve seen him drive, and he’s insane. Certainly my own lack of organization had nothing to do with my tardiness.
